Welcome to District 22,
serving San Diego County Veterans and there families
The American Legion is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization with great political influence perpetuated by its grass-roots involvement in the legislation process from local districts to Capitol Hill. Legionnaires’ sense of obligation to community, state and nation drives an honest advocacy for veterans. The Legion stands behind the issues most important to the nation’s veterans community, backed by resolutions passed by volunteer leadership.
American Legion members provided over 4 million volunteer hours last year nationwide, provided almost $8 million dollars for Community Service/Emergency Aid/Troop Support, provided over $15 million dollars for Youth Programs (Baseball, Boys State, Oratorical Contests, Scholarships, Scouting, and Shooting Sports), and helped with the donation of over 70,000 pints of blood.
The success of the District 22, depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. We are always looking for eligible members to help us continue to build on our legacy, especially the newest generation of Veterans who can help us grow our programs and community involvement.
We hope you will take a few moments to look around our website and learn more about how The American Legion can help you while at the same time you can help The American Legion.
